As for the new generation of Mazda 2, recently represented by Japanese manufacturers, it is distinguished by a strongly “feminine” appearance, which is emphasized by smooth soft lines and friendly design. Probably, the designers were not enough only to handle the headlights.
As the chief designer of the European branch of the manufacturer said, the car is more popular in Asian camps, and not in Europe and was immediately developed as a car for girls, which limits the designers from giving him an aggressive and muscular image.
