Once upon a time, the Hyundai Santa Fe seemed completely faceless and was in no hurry to get out of this image. But you definitely can’t say the same about the fifth generation crossover!
We found the car at one of the dealers and assessed all the changes that have occurred to the once popular model in Russia.
It’s unlikely to be possible to avoid a discussion about Santa’s appearance: it’s too… sudden. At the same time, in the photographs the new Santa seems huge, but in reality it does not differ much from its predecessor in size: 4830, 1900 and 1900 millimeters in length, width and height, respectively. The distance between the axles is 2815 millimeters.
It’s not just the exterior that’s surprising about the Santa Fe. The model’s interior versatility is maximum: the crossover can be ordered with a five-, six-, or seven-seater interior, with a solid rear sofa or separate captain’s chairs on the second row, and with a bunch of different options that its predecessor never even dreamed of.
We got a car in the most luxurious Calligraphy modification with five seats. The interior of such a car looks rich, but does not give tactile pleasure. However, there are no frankly cheap materials in Santa Fe.
You can get behind the wheel in a matter of moments. And the steering wheel and seat settings, as well as a number of other settings, can be “programmed” using a fingerprint – a sensor next to the dashboard. And one more thing: if you want to sleep in the car, the driver’s seat, like the passenger seat, folds out into an almost flat bed at the touch of a button. Gorgeous!
