On the eve of the opening of the Beijing Motor Show, the Jetour brand, owned by Chery, has completely declassified the Shanhai T2 crossover.
This is a plug-in hybrid version of the Jetour T2 already sold in Russia, differing from the latter only in power plants. In China, it will be available in three versions at a price starting from 179,900 yuan (about 2.3 million rubles), while in our country they are asking at least 3.76 million for a gasoline all-terrain vehicle.
Visually, the “plug-in” Jetour Shanhai T2 almost completely replicates its gasoline counterpart. The dimensions have not changed either: dimensions – 4785x2006x1875 mm, distance between the axles – 2800 mm. The all-wheel drive system is also present in the base. Moreover, if the crossover sold in the Russian Federation is equipped with a two-liter 245-horsepower turbo engine and a seven-speed “robot”, then in this case a combination of a 1.5-liter internal combustion engine with 156 hp is used. and 220 Nm, a pair of electric motors and a three-speed DHT transmission. The total output of the system is 381 hp. and 610 Nm.
In the two lower trim levels, a 26.7 kilowatt-hour battery is installed, which is enough for 129 kilometers on the CLTC cycle. The top version, which is priced at 209,900 yuan (2.7 million rubles), has a 43.24 kilowatt-hour battery pack – with it you can travel 208 kilometers without consuming gasoline. The total range with a full tank reaches 1,300 kilometers.
The interior architecture with a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel and a 15.6-inch central screen is also carried over from the petrol counterpart without noticeable changes. Depending on the version, equipment may include electric drive, ventilation and memory function for the front seats, wireless charging for a smartphone, atmospheric lighting, a panoramic roof and various safety systems, including blind spot monitoring.
Earlier, the Russian representative office of Jetour announced that the hybrid T2 will appear in our country in the first quarter of 2025. At the same time, sales of the more compact T1 should start in the Russian Federation, which will be declassified in the near future at the same exhibition in Beijing.
