In order to somehow hide from the eyes of the ubiquitous automobile paparazzi, the Italian automaker decided to test the new hyperkar, which is the heir to Enzo, at the test training ground in Germany.
The body of the new car, which supposedly gets a marking with the designation F70, is hidden under an impenetrable plastic camouflage, hiding almost everything, including the posterior anti -winged models. Only the body of lateral mirrors and new five -spoke wheels from alloyed material remained open for viewing.
Applying modern production technologies, including carbon materials for the body and made of aluminum of the chassis, the Italian concern Ferrari managed to reduce the mass of the car to 1,160 kilograms.
A 6.2-liter twelve-cylinder 800-horsepower gasoline unit will be installed as an “iron heart” under the hood. An additional capacity of 120 “horses” the car will provide a KERS system, widely used in the racing sphere of Formula-1. According to the Italian automaker, the successor of the Enzo hypercar will become the fastest and frisky supercar in the line of products. From zero to the moment when the speedometer arrow reaches the mark to the “hundred” will pass no more than 2.5 seconds. The maximum speed at which the machine is capable is 408 km/h.
This year to see the Ferrari F70 will not be lucky for many. It will be shown at a closed car dealership for VIP clients in the fall of this year. The world premiere should take place only a year later, at a car dealership in the city of Geneva.
