Renault postponed the release of the 1st sports car of revived automaries called Alpine through the need to change the design of this car. She will appear on the conveyor a year ahead of schedule – closer to the end of 2016. This news is reported by the Autocar news agency.
According to the publication, the 1st prototype of Alpine sports car (it is designed to compete with the Porsh Cayman) used to be demonstrated by focus groups, but their reaction was very unsatisfactory. In connection with this fact, the management of Renault decided to send its project for revision, namely to change the appearance of the machine. Initially, they planned to use in design a number of external elements from the conceptual model A110-50, including round headlights and the arrow-shaped front part.
This decision of the automobile company will be able to affect the Renault partner on the project – the English manufacturer Caterham, who plans to release its modification of the Alpine model. With all this Caterham Corporation, a couple of months ago, the design of the future sports car was approved and today she is forced to wait for the changes that the French planned for Alpine. The fact that they adjust its overall dimensions, through which Caterham will also need to make some changes to their project is not excluded.
